Random drug testing is now a part of being an athlete at John Tyler.
Athletic Trainer Ngan Morris told us that she feels that “it helps the athletes concentrate on school because it makes them say no to drugs.”
Athletes know they will be tested and there are set consequences if they are to test positive. Athletes know that there is a possibility that they will be tested. Knowing they will be tested helps them say no in bad situations.
Ngan Morris also commented she “wouldn’t change the drug testing for any reason it helps them a lot and does a lot of good.”
